Flood and Water Management Act – impact on house builders
Flood and Water Management Act s.42 into force October 2013
Defra has confirmed its intention to implement Section 42 of FWMA in October 2013. From then, all new connections into the public sewerage system will require a S104 agreement and new standards will be introduced.
All drains and sewers communicating with the public system which were laid since 1 July 2011 will automatically be adopted by the WaSC on commencement of Section 42.
