New SAP 2009 edition

The 2009 edition of the Standard Assessment Procedure (SAP 2009) applies from October 2010 for compliance with building regulations in England & Wales (Part L) and in Scotland (Section 6). Similar provisions will be made in Northern Ireland at a later date.

For the time being Energy Performance Certificates for new dwellings are produced using SAP 2005. This will be switched to SAP 2009 in March 2011.
